We had the best time hosting our annual progressive dinner to welcome in our new group of provisional members for 2022-2023! They were able to meet active members and also learn about our active projects that the chapter facilitates throughout the year. We are excited to see what this group does for the children in our community this next year and for years to come!
Stay connected with JA!
Each summer, Armstrong Junior High plans and sponsors a field trip for students that rarely have the opportunity to leave Starkville and experience a fun day with their teachers and peers outside the classroom. Last summer they went to the Memphis Zoo and this year they are headed to Alabama Adventure! We are thrilled to have the ability to help sponsor 10 children this year so as many kids as possible can have this opportunity. Our outgoing President, Anna Marie Nickels, presented the check to teacher, Emily Russell, a few weeks ago, and we can’t wait to hear how the trip goes for the kids!
Join us in welcoming our incoming President, Haley Todd!
We had a great time at the NAJA Annual Education Conference this past weekend!! A few members and board members attended sessions where we heard from chapters around the country to learn from them and network. JA’s mission across the board is the same - to serve children in our local communities - and it was so encouraging to see like-minded women all in one place there for one purpose. We are excited to implement numerous ideas to help grow our chapter and grow our impact in the Starkville and Oktibbeha County communities! #NAJA #ja #jastarkville #juniorauxiliary #aec2022 #forthekids
Lots of recognition took place a few weeks ago at this months chapter!! We were able to recognize our provisional members as they became active members, our members whose tenure of service has come to an end as they transition to life members, and our committee chairs and co-chairs who served tirelessly throughout the year to make sure all of our projects were a success!! Thank you all for your service to the community of Starkville through Junior Auxillary! You each have made this community a better place.
